For as long as I can remember, I wanted to teach. I love learning new things, and I think that's why I love teaching children. I want to help them see that learning is the key to a happy life no matter how old you are.
I started my career at St. Paul's Catholic School before teaching at St. Mary's in Waukesha and Hillel Academy in Glendale. I also taught art for Project Create through Carroll College. I came to St. Charles to teach full time and started in the 5th Grade classroom before moving on to teach 1st Grade. I now teach art to Kindergarten through 5th Grade and STEM to 1st through 5th Grade.
My other passion has always been art. I love to draw, paint, and create in many different mediums. I make jewelry, weave baskets, create stained glass, garden and play with color in my flowers, and enjoy photography. I love music, plays, and attending concerts as well as traveling. A highlight of my travels was visiting Monet's home in Giverny outside of Paris. What a beautiful setting for some of the most beautiful paintings in the world! I also enjoy hiking in our national parks and visiting my daughter and her family in Boston.
I love St. Charles! It is where we chose to send our daughter. I have always been proud of the education children receive here — both academically, spiritually, and morally. Teaching in a Catholic school is very important to me as I feel very fortunate to work where my faith can be a part of each day.
