Another busy week ahead for the last full week of April. Please take note of the reminders below.
Monday, April 23:
* Earth Day Dress Down: Wear jeans, sweats or shorts with a t-shirt that displays a nature scene. Or wear a previous St. Charles Earth Day t-shirt. Send in $1 (optional) for each child and the money will be donated to the St. Charles Parish Garden Club. Students will also color Earth Day brown paper bags that will be used at Piggly Wiggly.
* Science Fair Awards Ceremony at 2:30 pm in the Borromeo Room. All are welcome! Stop by and see some amazing projects. Following the awards ceremony there will be a First Lego League Robotics Team Open House with a presentation at 3:30 pm. Read more here. Come join the team.
* Peer Tutoring/Homework Club meets after school at 3:25 pm and ends at 4:15 pm. This is the last session of the school year. See you in the fall!
Tuesday, April 24:
* Dress Down Day Called by Principal for the Day Trevor Waltersdorf: Trevor, a 5th Grader, will spend the day shadowing Mrs. Anderson and one item on the top of his to-do list is to call a Dress Down Day. Students are welcome to dress down in jeans, sweats and shorts and t-shirts or other shirts. However, this is a Mass Day for the younger grades and we ask that students not wear shorts to Mass. Also no yoga pants or leggings (unless they are under a skirt). Be sure to thank Principal Waltersdorf for the dress down!
Wednesday, April 25:
* Jesus and Me "Panda-Monium" event. Preschool students and their parents are invited to the always fun Jesus and Me session beginning at 9:30 am in the Borromeo Room. More details here.
Other News:
* Extra Help Needed In Lunchroom and Playground In April And May!
One of our lunchroom and playground aides will be out of town in late April through mid-May and we are looking for parent volunteers to help cover the shifts. Each shift runs from 11:30 am to 1 pm and the duties include lunch time prep, lunchroom help and recess help. The volunteer would be inside the lunch room from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm and then outdoors from 12:15 pm to 1 pm. Volunteers are needed each weekday from May 2-15. We are offering TRIPLE HOURS to fulfill this much-needed volunteer position. Can you help? Sign up here.
* Donate Dresses & Accessories To Students From St. Anthony School In Milwaukee
We're hoping to make Prom Night special for St. Anthony High School students by donating gently used prom dresses and other fancy clothes the young girls can wear to this special event. Also accepted are purses, formal shoes and other accessories. The dresses will be brought to Milwaukee and given to the girls. For specifics and more information, click here. The deadline to drop off dresses to the Parish Office is Sunday, April 29. Thank you for your help!
* Please Take Time To Complete The Parent Survey
On Friday, April 20 Jon Ingrisano, chair of the St. Charles Parish School Commission, sent an email to all parents asking them to fill out our annual Parent Survey. Please click here to take the survey. It will take no more than 15 minutes to complete. The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, April 29. Print the confirmation page of the survey and bring it to the School Office and receive a small gift to thank you for completing the survey.
