Welcome to the first week of the 2019-2020 school year!
It's a busy week, so here are a few reminders:
Meet and Greet on Monday, August 26 between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Drop off school supplies, meet teachers, and take school pictures. Come anytime between the hours of 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Parents are asked to accompany their children. Students do not have to wear uniforms for school pictures.
First Day of School on Tuesday, August 27: The first bell rings at 8:15 a.m. with classes beginning promptly at 8:25 a.m. This is a full day of school. Lunch will be served.
Children's Choir Rehearsal is Wednesday, August 28 after school. Encourage your children to join the Children's Choir, which practices from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Wednesdays. The choir is open to all students in 3rd through 8th grades. This year, the choir is directed by Scott Currier, Music Director, and Maria Notch, Liturgical Music Assistant. The first Mass where the choir will sing is the All School Mass on Friday, August 30. The choir also sings at every school Mass during the year and once a month at Saturday night or Sunday Masses.
First All School Mass is Friday, August 30. Parents, family members, and friends are welcome to join us for the first All School Mass on Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. This is a very special Mass where 8th graders are commissioned as leaders of the school and sign a leadership creed. The 8th graders also receive their special jackets. This is the perfect way to pray for the new school year. All students in 4K through 8th grade attend Mass. Please join us.
Looking ahead to the Week of September 2:
* No school Monday, September 2 in honor of Labor Day.
* Parent Information Nights are Wednesday, September 4 and Wednesday, September 11.
* Be sure to join us for Fall Fest on September 6-8!
