Reminders and what you need to know for another busy Week Ahead.
Monday, March 19:
* We will have a Silent Enrance on Monday morning, March 19 as part of our Lenten journey. Please remind your children to observe the silence. The lights will be dimmed and teachers will hold candles to guide the way to classrooms. We will also end the week in silence with our Silent Exit on Friday, March 23.
* Practices begin for the St. Charles Track and Field Team. Students in grades 5th through 8th are eligible to participate. Click here for more information.
* If your child is going to the Movie Afternoon on Tuesday, March 20 please return the permission slip by Monday, March 19 to the School Office. To learn more about the movie and print a permission slip, click here.
Tuesday, March 20:
* Early Release Day for Teacher InService. Classes in 5k through 8th Grade released at 11:45 am. Students in 3K and 4K will be released at 11:30 am. The movie "Rock Dog" will be shown after school for students who choose to stay. The movie will run from about 12 pm to 2 pm. Details on the movie and the pizza lunch are here.
Wednesday, March 21:
* Rosary prayed at 2:45 pm in the chapel just inside the parish entrance. This is a new location and it's quiet and can accommodate the number of parents in attendance. Recite the rosary with other school parents each week and make this a part of your Lenten observance. No worries if you don't know the rosary. We will help guide you. Please come.
Friday, March 23:
* Living Stations of the Cross re-enacted by 4th Graders beginning at 2:30 pm in the church and repeated at 7 pm. Parents, family and friends are most welcome.
* Silent Exit at the end of the school day. Please remind your children to observe the silence. The lights will be dimmed and teachers will hold candles to guide the way from classrooms to the school entrance. Thank you for reminding your children to add the Silent Exit to their Lenten journey.
* All you can eat Shrimp dinner sponsored by the Misssion Ladies in the Borromeo Room. This is always a fun night for our parishioners and the food is delicious. Learn more about the night here. Don't delay because ticket sales end Wednesday, March 21. Tickets are sold in the Parish Office.
Sunday, March 25:
* Children are invited to take an active part in the Palm Sunday procession during the 11 am Mass. This is a great activity for kids as it involves them in the liturgy. Children from 3 years old to teens are welcome. Find out more here.
One Final Note: Looking For Sponsors For The Upcoming Spring Musical
Would you or your company like to sponsor the tickets for the Spring Musical "Godspell Jr.?" We'd like someone to sponsor the cost of printing the tickets and, in turn, we'd put your logo on the tickets. If you are interested, please send a note to Jane Walloch at jane@walleware.com. St. Charles students will perform "Godspell, Jr." during two performances on April 21 & 22.
