Happy Memorial Day!
We are down to the last 7 and one-half days of school during the next two weeks. It's a busy time so please take note of the reminders for the Week Ahead.
This is the Final Day to Register for the June 3 St. Charles Golf Outing: Join us for the 18th Annual St. Charles Parish Golf Outing which will be held at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex. This promises to be a fun day on the links. Learn more here.
Return All Library Books By Tuesday, May 29: Help out Mrs. Acker and return all library books on Tuesday. This will make for an easier end-of-the-year closing in the library. Mrs. Acker appreciates your help and promptness!
Box Top Deadline This Week: Let's end the year right and bring in a record number of General Mills Box Tops. Bring them in by Thursday, May 31 and we will mail them off in June, well before the deadline. Keep your eyes out for the Box Tops and then clip them and send them to the School Office or give them to your child's teacher. St. Charles typically earns a lot of money from this fundraiser. Thank you in advance for your help!
Lost and Found Bins: Very few items have been taken from the Lost and Found bins. These items belong to your children so please stop and look at the bin outside of the School Office and the other bin downstairs in the middle school area and search for lost items. There are lots of jackets and clothes that you will be happy to find. Take 5 minutes to search and you will find a treasure. Anything left in the bins on Thursday, June 7 will be donated. Thank you for your help in cleaning out these bins.
Dress Down Passes: Does your child still have Dress Down Passes to use? Please remember that Dress Down Passes can't be used on Mass Days. There is Mass this week for the entire school on Thursday, May 31.
Graduation Mass and Ceremony on Thursday, May 31: There is an All-School Mass on Thursday, May 31 at 8:30 am to honor our 8th Grade Class. The Graduation Ceremony is later that evening in the church beginning at 7 pm. All are welcome so please come and celebrate our 8th Graders as they leave St. Charles, begin their high school journeys and share their faith with others.
Attention Parents of Boys in 4K through 4th Grade - Cub Scout Recruitment Opens This Week: Representatives from Pack 24 (adults and older scouts) will be at St. Charles Parish School to meet with boys in grades 4K through 4th grade on Tuesday, May 29th during the school day. These sessions will be in the library for 15 minutes each. Older scouts will pick up the younger boys and walk them to the library. They will also walk the younger boys back to their classrooms.
Informational packets will be provided to the boys to take home to their parents. A parent informational session and sign-ups will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Instructional Media Center (IMC). St. Charles charters Pack 24 and leaders hope to grow the program to positively impact more students through the faith-filled Cub Scouting program.
Hartland Hometown Parade: Who's joining in the fun and walking alongside the float for the Hartland Hometown Parade? This is a fun, family-friendly event and it won't take up your entire weekend. We welcome all families to join us and it's the place to be in Hartland on Sunday, July 1. Each participant receives a free t-shirt. Email t-shirt order to Julie Kirby by June 5 with the following information: family name, t-shirt sizes for adults and children and the number of t-shirts in total. More details here.
Also we need individually wrapped candy that kids pass out along the parade route. Can you help? There is a bin outside the School Office for candy collections. Please no chocolate and any other candy that will melt. Hard candy, suckers and bubble gum always please the crowd.
