Welcome to the First Week of the 2018-2019 School Year. It's a busy week so here are a few reminders:
Meet and Greet on Monday, Aug. 27 between 12 pm and 6 pm. Drop off school supplies, meet teachers and take school pictures. Come anytime between the hours of 12 pm and 6 pm. Parents are asked to accompany their children. Students do not have to wear uniforms for school pictures. Read more about Meet and Greet here.
First Day of School on Tuesday, Aug. 28: The first bell rings at 8:15 am with classes beginning promptly at 8:25 am. This is a full day of school. Hot lunch will be served and students typically choose between two entrees. To look at the menu click here. The price for a hot lunch is $3.25 and milk is 5 cents. An extra entree is $1.75. Charges for school lunches will be billed monthly and the charges will be applied to your TADS account.
There is typically a month delay of when the charges are applied. For example, lunches purchased in
September will be billed in October. If you have questions about the lunch bill on your TADS account
please call the School Office at 262=E2=80=90367=E2=80=902040.
Children's Choir Rehearsal is Tuesday, Aug. 28 after school. Encourage your children to join the Children's Choir which practices from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm on Tuesdys. The choir is open to all students in 3rd through 8th grades. This year the choir is directed by Dr. Aaron Mathews, Director of Liturgical Music, and Maria Notch, Liturgical Music Assistant. The first Mass where the choir will sing is the All School Mass on Friday, Aug. 31. The choir also sings at every school Mass during the year and once a month at Saturday night or Sunday Masses.
First All School Mass is Friday, Aug. 31. Parents, family members and friends are welcome to join us for the First All School Mass on Friday beginning at 8:30 am. This is a very special Mass where 8th Graders are commissioned as leaders of the school and sign a leadership creed. The 8th graders also receive their special jackets. This is the perfect way to pray for the new school year. All students in 4K through 8th Grade attend Mass. Please join us.
Looking ahead to the Week of Sept. 3:
* No school Monday, Sept. 3 in honor of Labor Day
* Parent Information Nights are Wednesday, Sept. 5 and Thursday, Sept. 6
* Fall Fest Food Donation begins Sept. 4. Students are welcome to bring in non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and enter a chance to win one of two unlimited wrist bands for carnival rides during Fall Fest. Food items collected Sept. 4-7. Winning tickets pulled on Friday, Sept. 7.
