The Week Ahead includes Parent Info Nights Sept. 5 & 6 and Fall Fest which runs Sept. 7-9:
Parking, Drop Off and Pick Up For The Week: Drop off on Tuesday morning, Sept. 4 will be normal, however, pick up on Tuesday afternoon and drop off and pick up every other day this week will be through the West Entrance off of Renson Road. There will be very limited parking in the parish parking lot. We're working through details so look for an email Tuesday before afternoon pick up. Please note that carnival rides arrive on Tuesday afternoon along with tents and other pieces of equipment for Fall Fest. We ask for your patience as you enter the parish and school parking lot for the week ahead. Please drive slowly and cautiously as we prepare for Fall Fest, the largest fundraiser for our parish.
Parent Info Nights Sept. 5 & 6: This week our Parent Info Nights are on Wednesday, Sept. 5 (3K-5th grade) and Thursday, Sept. 6 (6th-8th grade). We will discuss some general information and provide a few school updates. In addition, parents will break out into their child=E2=80=99s classroom for additional information from the teachers. There will be two sessions (approx. 20 minutes each) with teachers. If you have more than two children in different grade levels, please reach out to teachers you were unable to meet with. Parents Info Night begins at 6 pm each night. Wednesday night begins in the Borromeo Room near the church and Thursday night in the STEM Lab downstairs.
Wristband Raffle: Students interested in entering a raffle for a wristband for carnival rides during Fall Fest are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the St. Charles Food Pantry. There is a bin near the School Office where you can drop the cans during morning drop off from Tuesday, Sept. 4 through Friday, Sept. 7.
Receive one drawing entry for each donated item. Please note: No expired items will be accepted. The food pantry does not need canned vegetables, chicken noodle soup or vegetable soup. They especially need spaghetti sauce, juice, flavored oatmeal, cereal, flour, white rice, salad dressing, mayonnaise, canned pasta, meat-based Progresso or chunky soups, liquid dish soap, Kleenex and paper towels. Please note that one 6-pack of Ramen noodles will count for 1 ticket.
A total of two lucky winners from the school will be drawn on Friday, Sept. 7 at 3 pm. Winners will be announced at the end of the school day on Friday, Sept. 7.
Mass Days This Week: Students in 4K through 4th Grade will attend Mass on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and students in 5th through 8th Grades attend Thursday, Sept. 6. Please remember no shorts on Mass days.
Spirit Wear On Wednesday, Sept. 5: Students are encouraged to wear Spirit Wear shirts with uniform bottoms on Wednesday, Sept. 5 and every Wednesday during the school year. Need more Spirit Wear? The fall sale begins later this month. Learn more here.
Fall Fest Dress Down Day On Friday, Sept. 7: Students are welcome to dress down for $2. This is a special offer Dress Down Day because we know kids will want to hit the carnival rides at Fall Fest right after school ends on Friday. Bring in the money on Friday, Sept. 7 and give it to your child's teacher. This is a Dress Down Day but dress code rules still apply. Learn more here on page 29.
