THE WEEKLY RUNDOWN
Sept. 7, 2018

The Weekly Rundown -- Fall Fest Edition!

Mission Statement: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Hello Parents,

I could not be more proud of the start of the school year. It's been an amazing first two weeks filled with joy, prayer, and teamwork. Teachers were well prepared to receive students and implemented highly engaging and fun team building activities for our students to learn about one another and how to work together. We ended the first week with a wonderful all school Mass and commissioning the 8th graders as leaders. This is a beautiful event and leaves a lasting impression on all.

*  New Staff - We have a music teacher!  I am happy to announce the hire of Ms. Jeanne Marie Stalteri. Ms. Stalteri comes to us from Indiana, Pennsylvania as a recent graduate from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. She started Tuesday, Sept. 4th and immediately jumped right in making connections with students.

* Safeguarding Training - Any individual that is in contact with students needs to complete Safeguarding God=E2=80=99s Children training, which includes ALL employees and volunteers. This is a one-time training and is offered at various locations in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee throughout the year. If you have not completed the training, please click to view the upcoming trainings and register. There is a training at St. Charles on Thursday, Sept. 16 beginning at 6 pm. Individuals who have completed the training need to have a background check and sign the Code of Ethical Standards every five years.

*  Soles Walk Registration - It is that time of year to register for the annual Archdiocese of Milwaukee Soles Walk for Catholic Education! I have been participating in this walk from the beginning and I look forward to it every year. It is absolutely amazing to see and be a part of an event with so many individuals that are dedicated to Catholic education. Please sign up, make a donation, and join me in this event that brings us all together to not only benefit St. Charles, but all of what Catholic education is all about. All donations stay right here at St. Charles!

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey

  3. You are welcome to cheer with us -- even if you have never cheered before!
  4. We are still working on practice times but hopefully will know shortly.
