Here are a few reminders for this week:
Advent Silent Entrance/Exit: As we prepare for the birth of Jesus throughout Advent, we will bookend the week with silent entrance on
Monday and silent dismissal on
Friday!
Mass This Week: Students in 4K-8th Grade will attend our all-school Immaculate Conception Mass on
Monday with 8th Graders leading the Mass. Please join us in Church at
9 a.m. Students must be in uniform.
Homework Club: Homework Club meets on
Monday from
3:25-4 p.m.If your child is signed up for Homework Club but can't attend tomorrow, please contact
Mrs. Henkel or
Mrs. Hanaway.
Mom's Favorite Things Event: Please join us for a mom's night of socializing and Christmas cheer on
Tuesday from
6-8 p.m. in the STEM Room. We will have a favorite things gift exchange (up to $15). Please bring your gift wrapped and ready to exchange. Sign up
online to bring an appetizer, dessert, or drink to share. We look forward to seeing you there!
Spirit Wear Wednesday: Students can wear spirit wear shirts with uniform bottoms on
Wednesday!
Advent Concert: We are looking forward to our Advent Concert on
Thursday at
6:30 p.m. in the Church. Doors will open at
6 p.m. Upon arrival, please walk your child(ren) to their classroom and then proceed to the Church to find a seat. All 3K, 4K, and 5K students will return to their families after their performance and will remain with you until the end of the concert. After your child performs, please have one parent retrieve them from the Pre-K staff. At the conclusion of the concert, please retrieve your child(ren) in 1st-8th Grade from their teacher.
Dress Down Day: Students and staff are welcome to dress down for Pajama Day on
Friday!
Looking ahead to the week of December 15:
Sweet Dreams Dining Out: Please stop by Sweet Dreams in Hartland anytime between 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday, December 16 and let staff know you are there for St. Charles' Dining Out. We will receive at least 10% of sales that day!
Strings & Band Advent Concert: Our Strings and Band Advent Concert will be on Tuesday, December 17 at 6 p.m. in the Borromeo Hall. Please join us for an evening of joyous music!
Pizza Lunch: Our next pizza lunch fundraiser is on Wednesday, December 18! Please print and submit the order form to the School Office by Friday, December 13. No hot lunch will be served on December 18. Sorry, no late orders will be accepted.
Advent Service Project: Scholars will be decorating bags with faith-filled messages and filling them with yummy treats for our St. Vincent de Paul food pantry on Wednesday, December 18! Please visit our website for more information on how you can help support this project.
Endter's Night Out: St. Charles Night at Endter's is on Wednesday, December 18 from 4-10 p.m.! Endter's will donate $5 for every large pizza and $3 for every small pizza to St. Charles Parish School. Dine in or carry out. Don't forget to buy SCRIP for Endter's! They generously give us a 20% rebate on gift cards.
Reconciliation for School Parents: School parents are invited to join us for Reconciliation on Thursday, December 19 from 10-11 a.m. in the Church!
Advent Classroom Parties: We will have Advent classroom parties on Thursday, December 19!
Living Nativity: Our 2nd and 3rd Graders are excited to participate in the Living Nativity! All are welcome to attend on Friday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church.
Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, December 20 for Christmas Break. |
