Reminders for another full week of school highlighted with the Advent Concert on Thursday night:
Silent Entrance Monday Morning, Dec. 10: Please enter school Monday morning in silence as we mark the second week of Advent. It is with joyful anticipation we prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ through the season of Advent. To mark this season of waiting, St. Charles Parish School will bookend the next two weeks with a Silent Entrance on Monday mornings and Silent Dismissals on Friday afternoons. Thank you for joyfully participating in this beautiful St. Charles tradition.
As students enter school on Monday mornings Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, the dimmed lights will remind them to remain silent as they prepare themselves for the day. Teachers will hold battery-operated candles and encourage students to complete their normal morning routines in silence.
On Friday afternoons Dec. 14 and Dec. 21, students will leave their classrooms in silence. We encourage students to maintain this silence until they are in the car or on the bus. We ask for your prayers during Advent as these times of silence will help our students to pause, wait and prepare our hearts for the birth of the Lord.
St. Charles Night at Culver's In Hartland: Stop in for dinner or dessert on Monday, Dec. 10 between 5 pm and 8 pm and mention St. Charles and 10 percent of the sales from the evening will be donated by Culver's to the parish and school. Offer good for dine in or carry out!
Jesus & Me St. Nick Event: Bring the kids to the next Jesus & Me on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9:30 am. Open to children in preschool and younger. More information here.
Mass Days This Week: Students in 4K through 4th Grade attend Mass on Tuesday, Dec. 11 with 3rd Grade leading. Students in 5th through 8th Grades attend Thursday, Dec. 13 with students in Ms. Ritzman's 5th Grade Class leading. Parents and family members -- please join us!
Spirit Wear Wednesday: Students are encouraged to wear St. Charles Spirit Wear on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Spirit Wear t-shirts, shirts and sweatshirts are welcome with uniform bottoms.
Advent Concert: Our Advent Concert is Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 pm. Students must report to their classes by 6 pm. Music teacher Ms. Stalteri has been working hard to prepare our students for an engaging and wonderful evening of music and celebration. Doors to the gym will open at 6 pm and there is no reserved seating other than the front row seats which are saved for those parents who purchased them at the 2018 Auction. Reconciliation Service: All students in 3rd through 8th Grades will take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation Friday morning, Dec. 14. Please keep our students in your prayers.
Volunteers Needed On Dec. 19: We are in need of about four parents who can help on Wednesday, Dec. 19 by picking up boxes of canned food from Sam's Club and Pick and Save in Waukesha at 1 pm. Food will be picked up and brought back to St. Charles. This is for the school Advent Spirit Service Project that takes place on Thursday, Dec. 20. The trip from those stores and back to St. Charles would take about 60 to 90 minutes. Can you help? Please contact Christina Holmes. Thank you for your consideration!
Sock Drive Continues Through Dec. 19: Don't forget to bring in clean socks of any style for children or adults and drop them in the bin outside of the School Office. Collections continue through Dec. 19 and then all socks will be donated to the Hope Center in Waukesha.

We have Amazon cards worth $25 and $100 and we will have them year-round (and not just at Christmas as in years past). We also have $5 gift cards to Panera and Starbucks and $10 gift cards to Target -- perfect for stocking stuffers. Come in and do most of your shopping in the Parish Office and buy SCRIP.
Click here for the SCRIP form. Drop off your SCRIP form to the Parish Office or submit online your SCRIP form by Sunday mornings and SCRIP will be sent home the following Friday with your child.
