Reminders For The Four-Day Week Ahead
We are in school four days this week and it's shaping up to be busy. This is what we have coming up for the week of Feb. 11:
Monday, Feb. 11: Jeans and Spirit Wear Dress Down Day -- This is a make-up day from Catholic Schools Week when there was a snow day.
Also on Monday: The Spirit Wear Sale was extended through Feb. 11 and there is your last day to order your St. Charles attire. The deadline is midnight on Monday. Don't miss out! Learn more HERE.
And one other event on Monday: St. Charles Night at Culver's in Hartland. Stop in for dinner or dessert between 5 pm and 8 pm and mention St. Charles and 10 percent of the sales from the evening will be donated by Culver's to the parish and school. Offer good for dine in or carry out!
Wednesday, Feb. 13: Jesus and Me event: Snowflakes are Angel Kisses. Read more HERE. The event is open to preschoolers and their parents, grandparents and other family members. Share the news with friends -- everyone is welcome.
Thursday, Feb. 14: Valentine's Day parties from 2:30 pm to 3:25 pm. Check with room parents for your child's class for specific instructions.
Friday, Feb. 15: Teacher In-Service and No School. Enjoy the day off!
Friday, Feb. 15: ADORE Family Holy Hour. Adoration followed by refreshments and playtime in the gym. Learn more HERE.
Sunday, Feb. 17: St. Charles Night at Endter's in Hartland from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Endters will donate $5 for every large pizza and $3 for every small pizza to St. Charles Parish School. Dine in or carry out. See you there!
Bus Driver Appreciation Week: The week of Feb. 11 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Week. If there is any little recognition your children could give the drivers for their dedication to student safety it would go a long way. A card or verbal thank you would likely make the driver's day!
Dance-a-Thon Donations: Have your kids continue asking for pledges for the Dance-a-Thon on Friday, Feb. 22. Turn in the envelopes by Wednesday, Feb. 20 to receive tickets for the basket raffle!
Easy Volunteer Hours: The Home and School Association is hosting a lunch for school and parish staff on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the early afternoon. If you're able to help provide food for the lunch we would greatly appreciate it. This is an easy way to earn service hours and the recipes are very easy! Learn more HERE.
Looking Ahead to Next Week:
Tuesday, Feb. 19: Early Release at 11:45 am for Teacher In-Service. There will be a Movie Afternoon hosted by parent volunteers involved with the Willy Wonka Jr. Spring Musical. The movie to be shown is "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!" Reserve your child's seat by printing the form HERE.
Thursday, Feb. 21: Pizza Lunch sponsored by the 8th Grade Class. Click HERE to print the order form. Please note that no hot lunch will be served that day -- only the Pizza Lunch. There will also be a bake sale.
Thursday, Feb. 21: State of the School Address at 6:30 pm in the STEM Lab. Learn about achievements met this school year and goals for the coming year from Fr. Ken, Principal Garvey and School Commission Chair Jon Ingrisano. Learn more HERE.
