Reminders For A Four-Day Week of School
We are in school four days this week with no school on Friday, March 1 for Teacher Inservice. Please take a minute to peruse the latest events so you can be up-to-date on school news.
School Masses This Week: Students in 4K through 4th Grade attend Mass Tuesday, Feb. 26 with Mrs. Halvorson's 2nd Graders leading. On Thursday, Feb. 28 our 5th through 8th Graders attend Mass with Mrs. Smet's 5th Graders leading.
Spirit Wear Wednesday on Feb. 27: Show your St. Charles pride by wearing St. Charles t-shirts and sweatshirts with uniform bottoms.
Padre Serra Pep Rally: Join us Thursday, Feb. 28 at 2:45 pm to celebrate the 8th Grade Basketball Teams who are headed to the Padre Serra Basketball Tournament. If parents would like to attend please check in at the School Office when you arrive on campus.
Box Tops Contest: Turn in all Box Tops to your child's teacher by Monday, Feb. 25. This is a classroom competition and the class with the most Box Tops receives a special treat. Make sure your Box Tops are in a plastic bag with the class name on the front.
Auction Raffle Tickets: Students were sent home with Auction Raffle Tickets last week. Did you find the tickets in your child's backpack? Fill out the tickets and send back to the School Office. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. The winner receives a cash prize of $3,000 or a credit of $3,000 toward tuition for the 2019-2020 School Year. Even if you're unable to attend the auction you can still enter the raffle because the winner doesn't need to be present to win. Return your tickets to the School Office by Friday, March 8 or bring them to the auction on Saturday, March 9.
Communion Clothing Drive: St. Charles Parish and School is collecting First Holy Communion clothing that will be donated to families at St. Anthony School in Milwaukee. Do you have communion dresses, veils, suits, pants, shirts and other accessories that you would be willing to pass along to other families? The Communion Clothing Drive takes place Saturday, March 9 through Sunday, March 17. During the weekends drop off the clothing to the Parish Hall; during the week please drop off in the School Office or the Parish Office. Thank you for your generosity. A Quick Look At Next Week
* Iowa Test of Basic Skills (standardized testing) takes place March 4 - 18.
* Please join us for Ash Wednesday All-School Mass on Wednesday, March 6 at 8:30 am.
* Silent Entrance and Silent Exit During Lent: We will start with Silent Exit on Friday, March 8 at the end of the school day and Silent Entrance on Monday, March 11 when school begins.
* Mardi Gras Auction and Dinner Saturday, March 9 at 5:30 pm at the Milwaukee Marriott West.
