Reminders For A Full Week of School

Silent Entrance On Monday, March 11: Once again we will have Silent Entrance and Silent Exit each week during Lent. As your children enter school Monday morning please remind them to be calm and quiet and to make minimal noise as they enter their classrooms. We will have a Silent Exit on Friday, March 15 at dismissal.

School Masses This Week: Grades 4K through 4th Grade attend Mass Tuesday, March 12 with the 1st Grade leading. Students in 5th through 8th Grades will attend Thursday, March 14 with 8th Graders leading. Please join us for Mass each day which begins at 8:30 am.
The Wisconsin Catholic Youth Rally: (WCYR) is a powerful and prayerful day-long conference experience on Sunday, March 17 for middle school students from all over Wisconsin and the Midwest! The rally features dynamic and engaging speakers, praise and worship music, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and a lot of fun as teens deepen their relationship with God and His Church. We hope to see St. Charles 6th through 8th Graders represented at this conference held at Carroll University in Waukesha! The deadline to sign up is Monday afternoon, March 11. Standardized Testing Continues: Students in 2nd through 7th Grades will continue to take Iowa Test of Basic Skills exams this week. We ask that students come to school as much as possible so please schedule doctor appointments outside of the testing period so students won't have to take makeup tests. We also ask that students get plenty of sleep and that they eat a healthy breakfast to help them stay focused.
St. Charles Track & Field: Mark your calendars for the first practice which is Thursday, March 21 at St. Charles. Practices are on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at St. Charles or the Arrowhead track. Athletes of all abilities are welcome as long as they have a desire to do their best. Students in 5th through 8th grade who attend St. Charles Parish School or child formation classes or Queen of Apostles or St. Teresa of Calcutta's religious education programs are welcome to join the team. The online registration is HERE! The team is also looking for any high school students or adults who would like to help coach. If you have questions email track@stcharleshartland.org. Please note trach photos will take place at 5:30 pm on Thursday, March 21 and there will be a parent meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 pm.
Communion Clothing Drive: St. Charles Parish and School is collecting First Holy Communion clothing that will be donated to families at St. Anthony School in Milwaukee. Do you have communion dresses, veils, suits, pants, shirts and other accessories that you would be willing to pass along to other families? The Communion Clothing Drive takes place through Sunday, March 17. During the weekends drop off the clothing to the Parish Hall; during the week please drop off in the School Office or the Parish Office. Thank you for your generosity. Middle School Field Trip Wednesday, March 13: Students in 6th through 8th Grade head to the Chicago area on Wednesday on buses to visit Medieval Times in Schaumburg. Just a reminder about electronic devices: Field trips are an extension of the learning experience so students will not be permitted to bring their phones or other electronic devices on the field trip. Normal school/classroom rules in regards to phones/electronic devices will apply. Thank you parents for your help enforcing this policy during a field trip.
Night Out at Culver's in Hartland On Monday, March 11: Stop into Culver's in Hartland for dinner or dessert between 5 pm and 8 pm and mention St. Charles and 10 percent of the sales from the evening will be donated by Culver's to the parish and school. Offer good for dine in or carry out!
ADORE Family Holy Hour Friday, March 15: The Family Holy Hour begins at 6:30 pm in the church followed by playtime and refreshments in the gym. If you or your family hasn't attended ADORE make this Lenten season the time to spend time in adoration during this beautiful family Holy Hour. All are welcome!
Endter's Night on Sunday, March 17: St. Charles Night at Endter's in Hartland from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Endters will donate $5 for every large pizza and $3 for every small pizza to St. Charles Parish School. Dine in or carry out. To make the most of this dining night out buy SCRIP for Endter's in the Parish Office and then spend it on March 17. Endter's has the highest profit rate of all our SCRIP vendors with 20 percent profit given back to St. Charles. Thank you Endter's! Here is a link to the SCRIP form. Just fill it out and drop off to the Parish Office and pick up your SCRIP.
