Reminders For A Full Week Of School & The Third Full Week Of Lent
Please take a minute to peruse the latest events so you can be up-to-date on school news.
Silent Entrance On Monday, March 25 Once again we will have Silent Entrance and Silent Exit each week during Lent. As your children enter school Monday morning please remind them to be calm and quiet and to make minimal noise as they enter their classrooms. We will have a Silent Exit on Friday, March 29 at dismissal.
Spring Musical Willy Wonka Jr Tickets On Sale Tuesday, March 26: Save the weekend of April 6 & 7 for performances of "Willy Wonka Jr." on the St. Charles stage. There is a cast of 50 kids who have been rehearsing for weeks and are excited to bring this musical to St. Charles. The performances are at 11 am, 6:30 pm on Saturday and 12:30 pm on Sunday. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 26 at 8:30 am outside the Parish Office. Learn more HERE!
Lenten Spiritual Opportunities: There are many ways to pray, give alms and sacrifice this Lent. Visit this LINK to find how you can deepen your Lenten experience. Also, the Rosary Group meets on Wednesday, March 27 in the Life Teen Cafe at 8:30 am. Join us for about 20-25 minutes to say the rosary. It's a powerful bit of time and the rewards are great. Finally, the Traveling Rosary, which moves from house to house each week, is in need of more homes. Learn more and sign up HERE. There are lots of weeks available between now and the end of the school year so please volunteer to take a week.
School Masses This Week: Grades 4K through 4th Grade attend Mass Tuesday, March 26 with the 3rd Grade leading. Students in 5th through 8th Grades will attend Thursday, March 28 with 7th Graders leading. Please join us for Mass each day which begins at 8:30 am.
Lenten Reconciliation Service On Friday. March 29: Students in Grades 2 through 8 will take part in the Lenten Reconciliation Service at 10:30 am on Friday. Priests will be in the church to hear our students' confessions. Please pray for our students during this Lenten season.
Homework Club Tutors Needed: Our Homework Club needs 7th and 8th Grade students who can help younger students with homework. This is a terrific way to fulfill service hours for middle school students. The time commitment is small -- Mondays from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm and there are only four more sessions left: March 25, April 1, April 8 and April 29. Don't pass up this opportunity. It's fun and the younger kids enjoy working with middle schoolers. Contact Mrs. Henkel if you can help.
Library Volunteer Opportunities: Some changes have been made on the Library SignUp Genius and there are MANY, MANY new opportunities. Click HERE to sign up for shifts. Also, if you would like to volunteer during your child's library class, but it is not listed in the Sign Up Genius, email Mrs. Acker date(s) and class(es) you would like and she will make it happen!
