Dr. Aaron Mathews
Music Director
Aaron is overjoyed to have returned to St. Charles in June 2022, having first served here from 2015-2019. Aaron earned a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Morehouse College, a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Georgia State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina. He has served on the music faculty of Allen University, Viterbo University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Alverno College.
His ministries at St. Charles include: Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, Resurrection Choir, playing daily and weekend Masses, and planning music for all liturgical events at the parish.
Aaron loves to wear socks with interesting colors and patterns. In his free time, he enjoys good culinary experiences, watching movies, teaching piano, learning how to play the organ, and zoom calls with his family.
