Volunteer Training

Safe Environment Education

All volunteers are required to have a Safe Environment Education Training Verification of Attendance, Criminal Background Check, and a signed Code of Ethical Standards on record.

Training sessions are offered throughout the Archdiocese on a regular basis.Occasionally these sessions are held at St. Charles.  To attend a training session, even those offered by St. Charles, you must do an online registration.  The training session takes up to three (3) hours to complete. Please click on the button below to find upcoming training sessions and to register.

Criminal Background Check

The Criminal Background Check Authorization Form can be printed out, completed and returned to the school office.  Your completion gives the Parish permission to submit a request for a background check.  This is a universal release which can also be used for other purposes as well, including credit checks.  We will not, however, be using it for any purpose other than a criminal background check.  Any information received is treated confidentially.  Information is not stored on any data bank and is kept in a locked filing cabinet as required by the National Safe Environment Policy of the Catholic Church.
