Middle of July??? Wow, is this summer flying! At St. Charles Parish School things are happening!
Teachers and staff have been busy during this first part of summer. We have seen some teachers working in their classrooms and prepping for the coming year. A number of teachers have been attending different conferences and training sessions. The work and learning does not stop with this amazing group of talented and dedicated educators.
In addition, we've had many school volunteers working on tasks this summer as they are getting ready for upcoming Home and School Association events and they are hard at work on Fall Fest, the #1 fundraiser for the parish. We are very blessed to have a wonderful and supportive school community that is willing to help out whenever and wherever needed!
ADF Donations: Thank you to all who donated to the Annual Development Fund. Because of you, we exceeded our goal of $40,000 by nearly $10,000! This is a testament to the love, support and trust our Parish and School community has in our mission. We can=E2=80=99t thank you enough for your outstanding generosity!
Hartland Hometown Parade: Well, I guess there=E2=80=99s always next year. Such a bummer that the parade was canceled due to inclement weather (kind of a theme this year). A big thank you to the Woelfle Family for the use of the fire truck! Thank you also to parishioners Dennis Tarnowski, Gordon Birschbach, Renee Krier and the Van Hecke Family for creating the banners and decorating the fire truck. And thank you to all who signed up to walk and support St. Charles Parish School. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and we will give it another shot next year!
Hot Lunch Program: An email went out on Tuesday introducing our new hot lunch program with 4 P's in a Pod. If you didn=E2=80=99t see it, click HERE for information in regards to setting up your new hot lunch account. As stated in previous Weekly Rundowns, St. Charles needed to find a new hot lunch vendor due to Taher no longer being able to service St. Charles. We know this new vendor will work well with our school and we ask for your patience as we make this change.
School Supply List: The 2019-2020 School Supply List is now available. A separate email was sent Wednesday night and the list is also available on our website. Click HERE to see the list. Happy Shopping!

We're less than two months away from Fall Fest, the largest fundraiser for St. Charles Parish and School and one of the best church festivals around. This is a major event and we want all of our school families involved.

Update TADS Account: Have you recently moved, changed your cell phone number or switched jobs and now have a new email address? Be sure to update contact information in TADS. This allows the School Office to keep current with important information. Thank you for your assistance.
Back-To-School Shopping: We're not trying to hurry along summer vacation but we wanted to let you know about Back-to-School deals taking place through Lands' End. If you're thinking ahead and want to get a jumpstart on stopping, check out the Lands' End website and look for the school uniform section. And before buying anything from Lands' End be sure to purchase SCRIP online to pay for the school clothes.

Local Sports and Activities

Middle School Game Night
This summer Life Teen is hosting a free Middle School Game Night on Thursday, July 25th. The night runs from 5 pm to 8 pm and includes dinner, dessert, shaving cream whiffle ball, prizes and more! Incoming 6th to graduated 8th Graders are welcome to attend. RSVP now by clicking HERE.
EDGE Middle School Ministry
Registration is now officially open for EDGE next school year. All 6th to 8th Graders of St. Charles School are welcome to sign up. EDGE runs on Monday nights from 6:30 pm to 8 pm during the school year.
Emmaus Small Groups
New for Fall 2019: Emmaus Small Groups for middle school students! Emmaus Small Groups are for those who are interested in going deeper into the faith by reflecting on Scripture and having more in-depth discussion with a small group of peers. You do not have to register for EDGE to join.
