THE WEEKLY RUNDOWN
June 25, 2020

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Charles Parish School in Hartland, Wisconsin nourishes and grows a vibrant Catholic community committed to innovation, responsiveness and compassion as it prepares and challenges students in their intellectual, spiritual and moral lives.

Dear Parents and Students,

We celebrated a wonderful Mass on Sunday, June 21 in honor of our 8th grade graduates and their families. We were inspired by Fr. Nick=E2=80=99s homily, and I am confident his message, which actually started out by referencing the movie The Dark Knight, will not only stick with our 8th graders but with everyone present. "This 8th grade year may not have been what you deserved but what God thought you may have needed.=E2=80=9D This powerful message definitely resonates as we all experienced a unique ending to this academic year. We are proud of our 8th grade students for all they have accomplished during their time at St. Charles and especially throughout the final months of their 8th grade year. They showed grit and determination, and they persevered through various challenges and obstacles. Thank you, 8th graders, for leading the way as you were asked to do during our Commissioning Mass on August 30, 2019. I bet you never thought you would be leading St. Charles while not actually on campus. I=E2=80=99m extremely proud of you and wish you all the best as you head off to high school. Please keep our 8th grade graduates in your prayers!

Following His plan,
Mr. Garvey
